Grace Hopper is most well known for designing the first compiler to allowe the first computers to translate between types of code. The first compiler lead to the creation of new more user friendly codding languages like COBOL. She also participated in the creation of the first large scale automatic calculator. The calculator was a big step in creating the first computer. lastly she was known for creating the first computer user manual.
